Holy Week services
Many Ramona churches plan special services for Holy Week.
First Congregational Church of Ramona plans the following Holy Week events:
March 28—Palm Sunday Services at 9 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. Pastor Steve’s message: “Which Parade Are You Marching In.” Music from choirs, instruments and Bell Choir. An Easter Egg Hunt for the children will take place at 10:15 a.m. in the recreation area.
April 1—Maundy Thursday Communion service at 7:30 p.m. A traditional Service of Tenebrae with communion, scripture reading of the events leading up to Easter will be held in the sanctuary.
April 4—Easter Sunday Services at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. with combined choirs, Bell Choir and instruments. Pastor Steve’s sermon: “Raised.”

St. Mary’s-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church at San Vicente Road and 12th Street announces the following services:
March 28—Palm Sunday, 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Procession with Palms.
April 1—Maundy Thursday, 6 p.m., foot washing followed by an Agape meal.
April 2—Good Friday, noon, Stations of the Cross with meditation; 7 p.m., Tenebrae, an ancient meditative Service of Shadows with readings, chants and candles.
April 4—Easter, 9 a.m. combined festive service followed by hospitality hour while the children hunt for Easter eggs.
