Artists prepare for annual studios tour

Eighteen area artists in 15 studios are preparing to open their private workspaces the weekend of April 10 and 11 for the seventh annual Ramona Open Studios Tour.

“We have several new artists participating this year,” said Judy Nachazel, event coordinator. “They have created a wide variety of eye-pleasing fine art and exquisite handcrafted items, including painting in all mediums, sculpture, photography, ceramics, quilt art, glasswork, woodworking and jewelry.”

The event is sponsored by the Ramona Chamber of Commerce. Tickets at $10 per person may be purchased in advance at the chamber office, 960 Main St., and at the studios on the day of the tour.
