Music from 1950s rock to jazz, country to reggae, and mellow rock plus old-time band music will be offered on two stages under the trees in Dos Picos County Park in Ramona on Saturday, March 20, when the third annual Ramona Music Fest is held from 2 to 6 p.m.

There also will be a reverse drawing with a 50-inch flat-panel plasma HDTV as the prize (last ticket drawn wins), an opportunity drawing for a new drum set, kids’ play area, beer and wine gardens, barbecued goodies and an auction featuring a variety of goods and services from a ride in a 1948 Stearman biplane to a $350 car care package from Main Street Auto Care.

The joint fundraiser for community projects and scholarships is sponsored by the Ramona Rotary and Ramona Kiwanis clubs. Dos Picos Park is at 17953 Dos Picos Park Road.

Adult admission is $20; ages 7 to 16, $10; and children 6 and under, free. There is a parking fee.

Musical entertainment will be headlined by Cactus Twang & Whyte and will feature Ramona teen singing sensation Aja Alycean, as well as Ted Lennon, The Rumblers, The Amalgamated, the Ramona Town Hall Brass Band and more.

Only 300 tickets will be available for the reverse drawing for the HDTV, at $25 each, and can be obtained from Rotary and Kiwanis club members, or call Bob Vaughn at 760-789-6858. Concert-goers are welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks into the park, but an abundance of tempting barbecued items will be available for sale, prepared by members of the Ramona Kiwanis Club.
