Artist to demonstrate style at guild meeting
Award-winning artist Marjorie Rauch will be the guest demonstrator at the Ramona Art Guild meeting on Wednesday, March 17, at 7 pm.
A Poway resident since 1980, Rauch started painting California landscapes and other objects after moving from Texas.
“I started painting after the birth of my 11th child to have some rest and relaxation from these delightful babies,” Rauch said. “When I found out about acrylics, I knew I had found my medium.
“You don’t have to have a definite plan when you start because you can paint over anything you want to change.”
Ramona Art Guild demonstrations are scheduled on the third Wednesday of the month at the Ramona Public Library, 1406 Montecito Road, from 7 to 9 p.m. and are open to the public. For more information, call Wilma Owens, guild president, at 760-789-2810.
