Soroptimists hold second annual Barn Dance

The second annual Barn Dance sponsored by Soroptimist International of Ramona will be held at Mountain Valley Ranch on Saturday, June 5. Tickets are available from any Soroptimist member or at the door.

The Barn Dance will feature line dancing instruction, a chuck wagon barbecue, dancing to the band of Southbound Jonny and specialty auctions.

Winner of the Man About Town contest will be announced at the dance. Half of the money each contestant has raised will go to Soroptimist International of Ramona for its community projects and scholarships and half will go to the charity of each contestant’s choice.

Tickets are $30 each or $50 a couple. Proceeds will go the American Coalition for the eradication and education of human trafficking.

A special presentation on human trafficking will be offered during the Barn Dance. Anyone wanting to go the extra mile in helping Soroptimists in the fight against human slavery is invited to become a gold or silver spur sponsor.
