Ramona Junior Fair starts July 31

Share

Visitors to the Ramona Country Fair will find a major change this year. There will be no livestock auction on Saturday.

While the Country Fair is organized by the Ramona Chamber of Commerce, the Ramona Junior Fair is put on by a different organization, the Ramona Junior Fair Board. Traditionally, both fairs have run concurrently.

This year, the Country Fair will be July 29 through Aug. 1 and the Junior Fair will run from July 31 through Aug. 8. The livestock auction will be on Aug. 7.

Super Heroes! Super Stock! is the theme of the 39th annual Ramona Junior Fair.

Junior Fair activities that will coincide with two days of the Country Fair are:

Saturday, July 31

•8 a.m., Dog Show Check In

•9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Home Economics Move In

•3 p.m., Rabbit & Cavy Show Check In

•4 p.m., Rabbit & Cavy Show

Sunday, Aug. 1

•8 a.m., Goat (Dairy, Pygmy) & Wool Breed Check In

•11 a.m., Horse Show Check In

•Noon, Horse Show

All Junior Fair activities will be held in the junior fairgrounds off Fifth Street and Aqua Lane, right next door to Ramona Country Fair.
