Ticket to Play needed to participate in RHS sports, band, choir, NJROTC

Students planning to go out for a fall sport, band, choir or Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps at Ramona High School must obtain a Ticket to Play.

Packets may be picked up in the main office at Ramona High School, 1401 Hanson Lane, before noon Mondays through Fridays until Aug. 22.

After Aug. 22 packets may be obtained at Ramona Unified School District Office at 720 Ninth Street. Along with the packet, a discount for a physical may be obtained for a $30 physical.

Paperwork is involved. Among forms in the packet are: Permission for Medical Treatment, a physical examination card, a transportation waiver, a signature page and a resident eligibility form.

Completed packets may be brought to the main office at Ramona High for football Aug. 5 to 9. Packets for all other sports and activities may be turned in between Aug. 9 and 13.

Students must have a Ticket to Play before they will be allowed to try out or participate in sports, band, choir or NJROTC. Ramona High sports include cheer, cross country, football, water polo, golf, tennis, song and volleyball.
