Manure, composting basics are topics of upcoming workshop
Manure management and composting basics, preventing odors and flies, and the benefits of composting are among topics that will be discussed during the Composting and Manure Management Workshop in Ramona on Wednesday, Feb. 3. The workshop will start at 7 p.m. in Ramona Community Center, 434 Aqua Lane. It is co-sponsored by the Solana Center for Environmental Innovation, the County of San Diego and the Ramona Trails Association. Information presented during the workshop is expected to improve soil, save money, protect waterways and grow health plants.
Protecting local water sources and applying compost to gardens and landscapes are among other topics on the workshop agenda. Admission is free, but registration is required.
