Trails group plans ranch ride, barbecue

Ramona Trails Association members will do more than take a ride at the Silver Spur Ranch on Saturday, Feb. 27.

After a relaxing trail ride that will start at 10 a.m., there will be a barbecue potluck lunch in the early afternoon, and then RTA members will have the opportunity to participate in ranch cattle sorting and maneuvering through the Cowboy Challenge Course, a sample of what the ranch has to offer.

Hosted by Steve Helmer and Judy Morrison at the Silver Spur Ranch, Cowboy Challenge promises to be fun for the first-time rider as well as those who have run the courses many times. Helmer and Morrison will be available for coaching if needed.
