Pop Warner hosts Car Show on Saturday
Ramona Pop Warner will host and sponsor a car show in the Ramona High School parking lots on Saturday, Feb. 20, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
All branches of the armed forces will have demonstrations and booths, and Amado Macias of the California Highway Patrol will have a rollover simulator.
The sheriff’s Ramona volunteers will provide the security for the event.
Lt. Duncan Frasier with the sheriff’s Ramona Substation and retired sheriff’s deputy Skip Murphy will have a new 2010 cruiser and two classic sheriff’s vehicles from the 1950s and ‘60s.
A U.S Customs Hummer H1 will be on hand, and the Border Patrol will have a custom lifted truck there.
The show will feature classic cars. Trophies will be awarded to cars in the following caterories: classic, muscle, new muscle, import, trucks, off road, motor cycle, under construction, restored and PT Cruisers.
