Annette Finley lauded for outstanding leadership

Ramona Municipal Water District Board President Jim Robinson recognized RMWD Human Resources Manager Annette Finley as the person responsible for a $104,000 refund check to the water district.

Robinson presented Finley with a plaque at the board’s March 9 meeting, thanking her for outstanding leadership and dedication to their risk management program.

“It’s her diligence and hard work that we got that (check),” Robinson said.

As the district’s human resources manager, Finley oversees the risk management program and employee safety.

A month ago, the district received the refund check from the Association of California Water Agencies Joint Powers Insurance Authority (ACWA/JPIA) as a retrospective premium adjustment. The JPIA is a partnership of water agencies in California, providing risk-sharing pools to meet members’ needs for property, liability and workers’ compensation coverage. The RMWD was identified as being very proactive in staff training to reduce their risk.
