Ramona Rodeo Queen Pageant is Saturday, April 17
Contestants vying for spots on the 2010 Ramona Rodeo Queen court
will test their skills in horsemanship, speech, presentation and rodeo
knowledge at the Rodeo Queen Pageant on Saturday, April 17. Twelve
young women are hoping to be selected Ramona Rodeo queen, junior queen,
young miss or junior miss.
Horsemanship competition will start at 8 a.m. in the Fred Grand
Arena in the Ramona Outdoor Community Center off Aqua Lane. The public
is welcome.
The speech and modeling portion of the pageant will begin at 5 p.m.
in the Charles R. Nunn Performing Arts Center at Olive Peirce Middle
School, 1521 Hanson Lane.
Admission to the evening portion of the pageant is $5 per person. Admission to the morning horsemanship competition is free.
Contestants are: Sally Jones, Carlin
Boyle, Taylor Finney, Bridgette Lattaye, Ashley Coane, Jackie Kinch,
Farah Angel, Jessica Phillips, Claire Hagan, Shelby Tomas, Brittney
Phillips and Kelsey Luckie. Pageant director is Jeanne Pyeatt.
The pageant will determine who will serve on
the 2010 court and represent Ramona at the 30th annual rodeo May 21-23
and at other rodeo and community events throughout the year.
