Boys U15 soccer wins opening game

Share

Ramona Boys Under 15 Intra’s first game against the San Marcos Matrix was described as exciting and intense with a 2-0 shutout.

The BU15 team started strong by being the first to the ball and with teammates communicating with one another. They all demonstrated superior passing skills, keeping Matrix scrambling for the ball, reported their coaches. Dylan Loftis outran and outmaneuvered Matrix players to chip the ball to Julio Velasco, who scored Intra’s first goal. Loftis then led his team to a second goal by making a header goal after an excellent corner kick by Kiko Valencia.

The defense once again held strong and fought hard to stop Matrix from scoring a goal. Coaches Szymanski and Loftis stated that it is exciting to see the boys come on so strong in their first game against such a tough team.

“Keep up the hard work,” they told their team.
