Boulder brush fire is contained

Firefighters are mopping up hot spots at a nearly 10-acre brush fire that broke out near Boulder Creek Road and Tule Springs Truck Trail this afternoon. The fire was reported at 1:20 p.m. and its cause is being investigated, reports CalFire.

CalFire assisted the U.S. Forest Service with the fire that was fought from the air and ground. The fire was near the community of Boulder Creek at the base of Cuyamaca Peak, officials reported. No structures were threatened.
