Share

Unofficially rated The Best Little Quilt Show in the West, Ramona Back Country Quilters’ 10th Annual Quilt Show will feature about 100 quilts displayed among fall decorations.

The show will be held in Mountain View Community Church, 1191 Meadowlark Way off state Route 78 and Ash Street on Oct. 16 and 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

Lots of door prizes are promised, and private vendors of fabric sewing supplies and gifts will participate. Snacks and lunch will be available.

A Sewing Circle with sewing and quilting demontrations will take place throughout the show. Someone will be available to answer quilting questions both days, and Julie Zgliniec, a certified Quilt appraiser, will be at the show on Oct. 17 to help date and appraise quilts.

A Bargain Corner featuring handmade gifts and useful items seeking a new home will be set up. A members’ consignment room, it will offer lots of good items for attendees to peruse.

Tickets will be sold for a colorful queen-size opportunity quilt made by Ramona Back Country Quilters members. The tickets are $1 each or six for $5. The drawing will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 17.

Proceeds, after show expenses, will be distributed to charities in Ramona.
