Regional agency says it wants public input

San Diego Associatino of Governments (SANDAG) wants to know what the public thinks of its draft plan detailing how it will communicate and gather public comments about regional programs, projects and program funding.

The draft Public Participation Plan (PPP), using Federal Highway Administration and Federal Transit Administration guidelines, was released for a 45-day public review and comment period this month. Once finished, the plan will guide SANDAG outreach efforts for transit, highway, smart growth, environmental, planning, growth forecasts, the Regional Transportation Plan, Regional Transportation Improvement Program, Tribal Consultation and other initiatives. The final plan is scheduled to be presented to the SANDAG Board on Dec. 18. The deadline for comments is Nov. 30 at 4 p.m. The draft plan is online at www.sandag.org. Comments may be sent by mail, e-mail or fax.
