RHS Physical Night is June 3

Share

Ramona High School Physical Night will be at the school, 1401 Hanson Lane, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3.

This is an opportunity for incoming freshmen through seniors interested in participating in extracurricular sports activities to receive a physical from a Ramona doctor. Because of the physical activity involved in band, color guard and NJROTC (Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps), they are among activities for which students need physicals.

Physicals are required before students may participate in the extracurricular activities.

On June 3, physicals will be given for $25 by Ramona doctors and will be good for the entire 2009-10 school year.

Parents must fill out an authorization prior to the physical. They must sign the examination form for the doctor to proceed. Forms and more information may be obtained by visiting the RHS Web site under athletics or by calling 760-787-4010.

Band Boosters will be at Physical Night selling pizza, hot dogs and beverages available for purchase. Proceeds will support the band.

All students planning to participate in extracurricular activities must have what the school calls a “ticket to play.” The physical yellow form is one of the five forms required to get a ticket to play.

Organizers of the two-hour event encouraged incoming freshmen and sophomores to arrive between 6 and 6:45 p.m. and incoming juniors and seniors to be there between 6:45 and 7:45 p.m. Parents preferring to schedule an a appointment with their child’s or children’s personal doctor are to take yellow card to the doctor for signature.
