Kids get their turn to play cowpoke

Share

Dress the kids up as little cowgirls and cowboys and bring them to Kids Activities Day in the Ramona Outdoor Community Center Pavilion from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 30.

That’s where the little cowpokes will be able to play like the pros. There’ll be stick horse racing, simulated bull riding, dummy roping and more.

Assisted by the Ramona Rodeo Queen Court and other volunteers, the youngsters also will have the opportunity to vie for Best Dressed Cowboy and Cowgirl in their age group.

Children from 3 to 10 years old are invited to compete for one of the Best Dressed titles. The four categories are:

• 3- and 4-year-olds,

• 5- and 6-year-olds,

• 7- and 8-year-olds, &

• 9- and 10-year-olds.

Rachelle Pyeatt, 17-year-old former Ramona Rodeo Junior Queen and Young Miss and former Norco Rodeo Queen, is in charge of the best dressed contests.

Prizes and awards will go to the best dressed cowboy and cowgirl in each category.

There is no charge for the youngsters to participate in Kids Activities events.
