If you are a homeowner and customer of the Ramona Municipal Water District, and have an overall water-efficient landscape, you are invited to enter San Diego County’s 6th Annual “California Friendly” Landscape Contest.

California Friendly landscape is define as “more beauty — less water.”

The deadline to enter is April 6. There will be one regional winner for the do-it-yourself homeowner, one regional winner for the best professionally designed and installed landscape, one regional winner for best native landscape, and one best-in-district winner. Gift certificates up to $500 will be awarded.

Last year, Ramona residents Michael Mendell and Mimi Kirk won the Best in Region do-it-yourself category. Their award-winning landscape can be viewed at www.landscapecontest.com.

“Let’s show the county that Ramona can do it again!” said Vicki Drewett with the water district.

For contest details, visit www.rmwd.org or www.landscapecontest.com or come by the district office at 105 Earlham St.

Anyone with questions may call Drewett at 788-2270.
