10U Fast Pitch Girls Softball competes in regional contest s Fast Pitch

On July 17, Ramona’s team played the best team in the tournament and lost 9-2 against Santa Ana. Singles by Morgann Wilson, doubles by Morgann Wilson, Hannah Bowen and Shaylee Lessler.

On July 18, timely hitting and good fielding carried the day against Arcadia by a score of 5-1. Singles by Lindsey Godwin, Shaylee Lessler (2), Ashley Dowers, Morgann Wilson, Hannah Bowen (2) and Katie Szakara.

Hannah Bowen struck out 9 hitters.

In a very exciting game, Ramona snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in the bottom of the last inning. They scored three runs to win by one 5-4. Singles by Hannah Bowen, Katie Szakara, Lindsey Godwin (2), Morgann Wilson and Ashley Dowers with the winning hit.

In a game late Saturday night, an exhausted Ramona team lost 5-0 against a very good Claremont (L.A.) team. Singles by Ashley Dowers and Hannah Bowen.
