Cal Fire offers free sandbags

In anticipation of today’s rain, Cal Fire is offering free sandbags at its Ramona Station at 16310 Highway 67 and its Julian Station at 1587 Highway 78. Free sandbags also are at Cal Fire stations in Deer Springs, Pauma Valley, Camp, Lake Morena, Dulzura and Rincon Reservation.

Also in preparation for flash floods and up to 1.5 inches of rain forecast today, Cal Fire has four-by-four engines at strategic locations along Interstate i in East County, reports Cal Fire Capt. Nick Schuler.
