Ramona High School senior and varsity soccer goalkeeper Lauren “LoLo” Ray and her Rancho Sante Fe soccer team won the Nomads Thanksgiving College Soccer Tournament in the girls under 18/19 division. They were undefeated in six matches and outscored their opponents 12-2.

Ray, the goalkeeper for RSF, was recognized for four shutouts. In the final game, with only one substitute, the team defeated Oregon Rush, the only other undefeated team. They played teams from California, Arizona and Oregon.

This was a college showcase tournament and college coaches from all over the United States attended.

The Rancho Sante Fe Attack team also was victorious this year in the Pegasus Cup. The team now takes a break for high school soccer and will be back together in the spring for the Las Vegas College Showcase and Cal South National Cup.

Ray and the team are planning a trip to Gothenburg, Sweden, in July 2010, to participate in the Gothia World Youth Cup soccer tournament. They placed third in Gothia Cup in 2007 and are hoping for a first place trophy this summer.
