Turkey Comes Calling

The “No Soliciting” sign on this San Diego Country Estates door did not deter this tom turkey from stopping by for a visit Saturday morning. He was “simply standing at the front door of this home on Vista Vicente Drive” when Country Estates resident Marian Petrovic saw him. Petrovic had heard that Ramona once was the Turkey Capital of the World. “From all the turkeys I’ve been seeing in the Estates, I’m beginning to believe it,” she said. Another Ramona resident commented that the turkey likely is happy it’s Easter, not Thanksgiving.
