Tennis drops two matches
The Bulldog tennis team dropped two Valley League matches. The Dawgs lost to Mt. Carmel and San Marcos on the road. The Dawgs are now 3-6 on th season and are 1-4 in the Valley League.
Ramona lost to Mt. Carmel 10-8. Cameron Ruland manned the number one singles spot and went 4-6, 6-2 and 7-5. Tyler Davidson turned in scores of 2-6, 5-7 and 6-2.
Alejandro Cervantes went 0-6, 0-6 and 3-6. Josh Leiber and John Randol won three sets as the number one doubles team by going 7-5, 6-1 and 6-2. John Shupe and Tyler Mc Donald won two team points by going 3-6, 6-1 and 6-4.
Derek Streeter and Garrett Flynn went 3-6, 0-6 and 1-6.
Ramona lost to league leading San Marcos 16-2. The doubles teams picked up both of the team’s points. Cameron Ruland and Tyler Davidson went 2-6, 2-6 and 6-4 to win one point.
John Shupe and Tyler McDonald went 7-5, 1-6 and 5-7 for Ramona’s other point. Josh Leiber and John Randol went 6-7, 3-6 and 3-6.
In singles action, Derek Streeter went 1-6, 1-6 and 0-6. Alejandro Cervantes turned in scores of 0-6, 3-6 and 0-6. Garrett Flynn went 0-6, 0-6 and 1-6.
