During a

Conference Call

with San Diego County Library, county General Services and Friends of the Ramona Library on Oct. 8, David Timber, project manager for Ramona’s new library, reported the county has responses from a group of qualifying contractors and the response time was closed at 4 p.m., giving them a good group for their selection.

Four design builders will be selected from the group and, allowing for a week of protest, the request for proposal could be mailed out in mid-November. The positive responses to the many questions raised were encouraging for Ramonans.

The library will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 11, in commemoration of Veterans Day and on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 27 and 28, celebrating Thanksgiving. The library will reopen on Saturday, Nov. 29.

Ramona Library is in the San Diego County Complex at 1406 Montecito Road. It is open Monday and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
