Golden apple hiding somewhere in Julian
Julian’s apple crop has been good this year, with varieties such as red delicious, McIntosh, Gravenstein and Jonathons, reports Tracy Turner, president of the Julian Merchant’s Association.
But there’s another apple hiding somewhere in Julian. It’s a golden apple and it was last seen on Julian’s Main Street. It is believed to be hiding inside one of Julian’s businesses, in plain sight, said Turner.
Wanted posters have been posted in windows of participating merchants throughout the town. Visitors are encouraged to help aid in the capture of this renegade apple. Look inside every business with a Wanted poster and, if the golden apple is spotted, notify an employee immediately.
“This golden apple has been eluding us ever since the apple harvest began last month,” said Turner. “We hope to corral this runaway before Apple Days ends in mid-November.”
Although Julian apple pies are available year-round, the apple harvest is almost over. A reward will be offered to any wrangler who finds the golden apple.
