Property owners have until Dec. 1 to appeal assessment

San Diego County property owners who want to appeal their 2008-09 property tax assessments have until Dec. 1 to do so.

Applications must be received by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors Office in the County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway, Room 402, San Diego, 92101, no later than 5 p.m. on Dec. 1 — or be postmarked no later than midnight on that date.

To file an application, taxpayers should know their parcel number or tax bill number and property address and they must state on the application their opinion of the property’s market value. For more information, call 619-531-5777.
