Log on for a New Experience

Since I landed here at the

Sentinel

, one of my goals has been to refresh the

Sentinel

Web site — to make it more interactive and to offer more of what you, the reader, wants from an online experience. Since the

Sentinel

publishes once a week, our Web site gives us the opportunity to provide community information 24/7. And with close to 40,000 page views a month, it’s by far the number one Web site in Ramona.

Many of you have commented about the site both good and bad. So after many weeks of inputting, designing and upgrading, it is my pleasure to introduce the new and improved

Sentinel

web site (www.ramonasentinel.com). Our new Web site will offer many new features that we did not have before, along with an easier to read format with more news and information.

Some of the new features are: Expanded local coverage of news & sports, CNN news top stories, AP national and international video stories and ESPN Sports Headlines.

You’ll still find the latest updated weather, community resource links, archive of past stories, calendar of events where you can actually post your events, classifieds and obits, plus you’ll be able to read current and past editorials along with guest commentaries, articles and featured columnists from the

Sentinel Magazine

  1. We’ll also have an expanded local sports photos section — look for ways to purchase these photos in the near future.

The online version of the

Sentinel

gives us the opportunity to post important stories as they happen, road closures, late breaking news, weather and other information.

So log on and check it out. We will be fine-tuning it along with adding new features in the weeks to come. I look forward to hearing from you about the content and any ideas to enhance the site.
