Ramona Pop Warner Junior Midgets continued their winning season of 7 wins and 2 losses with a blowout against the Murrieta Nighthawks.

The Guard Dawgs offense was unstoppable with five touchdowns, while its defense kept the Nighthawks to one score.

Jordan Narramore threw a 50-yard TD pass to Nathan Cherek, who then scored on the following kickoff for a 60-yard return, and a 20-yard TD off a sweep to the outside.

The last score came after big runs from the offense all the way down the field. Tanner Williams then scored at the goal line, overpowering the Nighthawks defense.

Colton Jansen led the Dawgs defense with 12 tackles, while Jacob Loux, Robert Farren and Ben Hine also turned in outstanding defensive performances.

Head Coach Jason McGhee summed it up with the quote of the week: “Another explosive game on both sides of the ball with no injuries.”
