Go green in style at new consignment boutique

Thanks to one of Ramona’s newest shops, it is now possible to enjoy designer and name brand clothing for a fraction of the original cost, and customers will be recycling, too.

The Clothing Exchange at 1160 Main St. is a women’s upscale consignment boutique with designer labels such as Ann Taylor, BCBQ, Anne Klein, Ambercrombie & Fitch, Giorgiou, Banana Republic, Liz Claiborne, Ralph Lauren, Jones New York, J. Jill, Talbot, Michael Kors, Chico’s and Coldwater Creek. Customers will find coats, jackets, dresses, suits, evening gowns, jeans, designer handbags, shoes, belts, hats, jewelry and more at reasonable prices in misses, petites, and women’s sizes.

Diana C. Boley, an attorney who practices law part time, owns the boutique. When she was laid off, she decided to make her own opportunity instead of waiting for a job to come to her.

She has always loved fashion — especially shopping and getting a great deal, she said. After researching consignment stores, she realized the unique benefits they offered customers.

Expensive taste no longer needs to be expensive. The Clothing Exchange is a win-win situation for those who have beautiful clothes they no longer need. Instead of taking up closet space, the clothing can now be available for someone else to enjoy.

A Ramona resident for three years, Boley lives with her husband Ryan and 2-year-old son Matthew Hunter in the Ryland home development next to San Diego Country Estates. She plans to host a Ladies Night Out, a Mom’s Night Out and other parties after hours in the boutique. She also is creating a Frequent Buyer Rewards program and offers gift cards.

The Clothing Exchange is open Monday from 1 to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday by appointment.
