Ramona Food and Clothes Closet (RFCC)’s annual Share Your Holidays campaign to assist those in need is in full swing.

Organizations, families and individuals are getting in the holiday spirit by donating canned goods, nonperishable food and toy donations to assist low-income families that depend on the charity’s services to make it through the holiday season.

“You can help make this a happy holiday for our entire community,” said Brian Moore, RFCC general manager.

A festively decorated barrel is at Albertsons at 1459 Main St. to put food for the annual program. RFCC’s Thrift Shop at 773 Main St. is accepting donations of food and toys as well as money from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday to help support its programs, and a collection box will be in front of Ramona Mainstage before and during performances of ACToRs’ Community Theatre of Ramona’s production of “A Hometown Holiday Dec. 4-6.

All donations made to the organization are tax deductible. The donations area, located in the back parking lot, has carts for ease of unloading.

A party for Share Your Holidays children and their families will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 21. Each child will receive a new toy from Santa Claus, and games, music and refreshments are planned. To receive an invitation to the party, an adult member of the family must apply at the RFCC office at 773 Main St. Applications for the party and toy distribution will be taken from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Saturday, Dec. 6.
