Santa to touch down at Riviera Oaks

During preparations for his busy night on Christmas Eve, Santa will set down for two breaks this month at the Riviera Oaks Racquet Club.

Santa Claus will take time out from his busy schedule to visit all the good little girls and boys during two special visits to the Riviera Oaks Racquet Club in San Diego Country Estates this month.

All are invited to come and see Santa on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to noon and on Saturday, Dec. 13, also from 9 a.m. to noon. Look for him by the Christmas tree inside the clubhouse at 25385 Pappas Road. There will be treats for all and pictures with Santa, so all are welcome to wear their best outfit and practice their prettiest smile.

“We would like to offer more variety to our guests, owners, and members who visit our family-oriented club,” said Barbara Lima, activities manager. “Santa seemed like the perfect guy to ask for help celebrating the spirit of the holidays.”

In addition to Santa’s visits, the racquet club has started a collection for the Ramona Food and Clothes Closet.

“We would like to invite you to help us help our community by bringing in donations of non-perishable food items, blankets, clothing, toys, etc.,” said Lima. “Santa hopes to see all of you there!

Riviera Oaks Racquet Club, a tennis club, started in 1976. The club has 17 outdoor tennis courts and many tennis programs for players of all ages and levels. It also has a swimming pool and fitness facility, and memberships are available.
