Easter egg hunts on Ramona calendar Friday through Sunday

Children and families have their pick of where and when to hunt for Easter eggs, with several slated from Friday through Sunday. Of course, if they choose, they can go to them all.

Ramona Boys & Girls Club, Collier Park, 622 E St., 3 p.m. on Friday, March 29. Open to 4- through 12-year-olds. An area will be roped off for the younger hunters. More: 760-788-7564.

Ramona Art Guild to sponsor silverpoint workshop

Ramona Art Guild will sponsor a silverpoint workshop with Vicki Walsh in the Ramona Library Community Room from 9:45 a.m. to 2 pm. on Saturday, March 23.

Walsh, a drawing professor at Palomar College, is renown for her immaculately rendered portraits. In her latest series, she uses silver and gold point to create detailed drawings upon which she applies layers of oil paint.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at free events in Ramona

Two free events, open to the community, will be held this week to mark St. Patrick’s Day.
Irish crafts, food, and dance will be featured at a St. Patrick’s Day celebration, at 3 p.m., Friday, March 15, at Ramona Library, 1275 Main St. For more information, call 760-788-5270.
Dos Picos County Park will offer a Leprechaun Hunt on Saturday, March 16. Teams or individuals can hunt for the 21 leprechauns that will be hiding in the park.

Ramona Senior Activity Center

Ramona Senior Activity Center Bargain Corner doors will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 14 and from 8 a.m. to noon on March 15. A range of items are available. Proceeds benefit the center.

Among other upcoming activities are a joint birthday/St. Patrick’s Day lunch and Movie Night, both on Friday.

Indoor Futsal league to benefit RHS girls soccer

Ramona Futbol Club, Inc. is sponsoring an Indoor Futsal league to benefit Ramona High School Girls Soccer program at Wilson Gym.

Futsal is listed as a National Direction of Skills Development that U.S. Soccer has instructed U.S. Academy soccer programs to use. This training will focus on developing the players through fun age appropriate skills and exercises. Futsal gives the opportunity for the player to learn how to control
