Ramona Library will host a presentation on Covered California, the state’s version of the health insurance exchange required by the Affordable Care Act, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19. The county Department of Animal Services will offer microchipping, rabies vaccinations and dog licenses on Sunday, Nov. 17, from noon to 2 p.m. at the animal care facility, 2481 Palomar Airport Road in Carlsbad.
Animal Services will microchip pets for a one-time fee of $10, which includes the registration. Rabies vaccinations for dogs four months or older and cats three months or older are $6. Rabies vaccinations and microchipping are available to anyone.
Ramona Sheriff’s Citizens Advisory Group will meet with Lt. James Bovet in the Ramona substation at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14. The public is welcome.
The group consists of five residents and meets quarterly with Bovet to discuss concerns in the community and receive updates on law enforcement issues. Non-members may also share their concerns.

Ramona United Methodist Church will mark the 33rd anniversary of its annual Turkey Dinner in Ramona Community Center, 434 Aqua Lane, from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10. All are welcome.

A Cal Fire dozer, Mercy Air helicopter, Jaws of Life demonstration and stove fire demonstration are among activities planned for Ramona Fire Department’s annual open house on Saturday, Oct. 19.
