Auditions slated for Ramona Community Theater comical murder mystery

Auditions for Ramona Community Theater’s production of “Socrates Tomb” will be held in the Ramona Library Community Room, 1275 Main St., from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13. “This is an hilarious play written by Ramona’s very own A.J. Bess,” said Amy Krause, the troupe’s artistic director, adding that Bess wrote the fast-paced comical murder mystery with Daniel Stapp.

Art guild demonstration features Susan Bainbridge

Ramona Art Guild will feature well-known artist Susan Bainbridge at its demonstration meeting in Ramona Library, 1275 Main St., on Wednesday, Jan. 18.

The guild will also host a spaghetti dinner that night as a scholarship fundraiser. A $5 donation is suggested.

‘Rock of Ages’ exhibit showcases Barona musical traditions, talents

On Nov. 19, the Barona Cultural Center & Museum will open “Rock of Ages: Contemporary Music Traditions on the Barona Reservation,” an exhibition that will showcase today’s native culture of singer-songwriters, rock bands, country-western players and other popular music — reservation-style.
