Between the Bookends

San Diego County Library News: A yearlong donation campaign, SDCL’s Most Wanted, is asking customers to donate a new copy of the Book of the Month or one of the Top Ten Most Wanted books. The book of the month for July is “Smokin Seventeen” by Janet Evanovich.

Another part of this campaign is the matching funds program that was just re-approved by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors. When a customer requests their donation go to this program, their funds will be matched by the county

Between the Bookends at Ramona Library

Ramona Community Library is at 1275 Main Street, with the parking in the rear. It opens at 9:30 a.m. daily and closes Mondays and Wednesdays at 6 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays at 5 p.m. Among activities are:

Preschool Storytime: Enjoy a fun story on every Wednesday, at 11 a.m. followed by crafts at 11:30 a.m.

Grandparents and Books: Stories are read from a selection of favorite children’s books on every Thursday at 11 a.m.

Summer Reading Club: theme “One World, Many Stories.”
