If it’s Thursday, it’s Open Mic Night at Kenrix Sushi & Co.

   Kenrix Sushi & Co. at 2330 Main St. has Open Mic Night every Thursday night.
   Presented by Ramona Music Center, the weekly event features
entertainment by local musicians from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Musicians
interested in singing or playing just show up at 6 p.m. and put their
names on the list.

Area residents stage third TEA party

   About 200 people showed up for the Ramona Area TEA (Taxed Enough
Already) Party, held in front of the Ramona Post Office on Saturday,
Sept. 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

   All were invited to join in support of fellow Americans who traveled to Washington, D.C., for the National TEA Party.

Ramonans stage July 4 TEA party

An estimated 120 tax protesters kept with the Independence Day theme
Saturday, declaring their independence from federal policies.
The TEA (Taxed Enough Already) protest was at Pat’s Field of Dreams
Nursery at 3323 Highway 67 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 4.
Organizers said people were there “in peaceful protest to the runaway
spending in Washington, D.C., and the taxes and inflation that will
result therefrom.”
