Sheriff’s Reports: Driver charged with DUI, vandalism after doing ‘doughnuts’ in parking lot

A 54-year-old man was arrested around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, May 17, after trying to drive “doughnuts” in the parking lot of Cheers, 2475 Main St., and causing damage to several vehicles, according to the sheriff’s Ramona station.

Lt. Hank Turner said the vehicle maneuvers threw rocks and cracked windshields of four vehicles. When deputies arrived, the driver took off at a high rate of speed but pulled over for law enforcement and was charged with DUI and vandalism, said the lieutenant.

•Male, 46, arrested, 1800 block Cedar Street, threaten crime with intent to terrorize, vandalism $400 or less and damage/destroy wireless communications device.

•Grand theft, 15700 block Davis Cup Lane, $2,000 bicycle and $1,500 of athletic equipment.

Friday, May 16

•Take vehicle without owner’s consent/vehicle theft, Oak Village Drive.

•Spousal/cohabitant abuse with minor injury, 17700 block Rockhouse Road.

•Grand theft from building, 28300 block SR-78, rings valued at $4,000.

Thursday, May 15

•Commercial burglary,  San Diego Country Estates timeshare, 25300 block Pappas Road, furniture valued at $1,100.

Wednesday, May 14

•Get credit with another’s identification, 800 block Steffy Road, occurred between Aug. 23 and May 14.

•Female, 42, arrested, SR-67 and Dye Road, obstruct/resist peace officer/medical technician.

•Male, 43, arrested, SR-67 and Dye Road, spousal/cohabitant abuse with minor injury, misdemeanor bench warrant and flash incarceration. Female, 47, arrested, drunk in public.

•Grand theft from building, 3300 block SR-67, $200 bicycle, $195 skateboard, $500 ring, two knives worth $1,050, $50 portable music device, $99 cell phone and $10,700 in U.S. currency.

•Residential burglary, 16200 block Swartz Canyon Road, $500 television and $880 worth of video games.

Tuesday, May 13

•Male, 38, arrested, 1400 block Montecito Road, obstruct/resist peace officer/medical technician and battery to spouse/ex-spouse/date.

•Male, 28, arrested, 700 block B Street, possess controlled substance, use/under influence of controlled substance and possess unlawful paraphernalia.

•Theft of elder/dependent adult, 2000 block Black Canyon Road, $1,800 U.S. currency.

•Found property, 1400 block Montecito Road, bag, drug/narcotic paraphernalia/equipment, knife and miscellaneous.

•Found property, 23600 block Isla Del Rey, ID card, eyeglasses, credit cards and miscellaneous.

•Vandalism estimated at $200, 14900 block Lone Oak Trail.

Monday, May 12

•Female, 54, victim of violate protective order: domestic violence and vandalism to windows estimated at $72, 19600 block state Route 78.
