ChuckAlek to host St. Patrick’s Day Pot of Gold charity event Saturday
ChuckAlek Independent Brewers invites the community to St. Patrick’s Day Pot of Gold for Charity on Saturday, March 15, from 5 to 9 p.m.
The event will feature a live band — the Jive Bombers — and will benefit three Ramona charities: the Friends of Ramona Unified Schools (FORUS) school roofing project, the Neighborhood Tatas Susan G. Komen 3-day Walk team, and Ramona Pony Baseball.
During the event Bisher’s corned beef sandwiches will be for sale, as well as ChuckAlek’s regular beer line-up. Sandwiches will be served up by the women on the Neighborhood CrossFit Tatas team.
Additionally, ChuckAlek bartender Lauren Guy has had a specialty beer brewed and is donating a keg to the event.
“Among other fundraising activities, all proceeds from this beer will go into the Pot of Gold to be split among the charities at the end of the night,” said owner Marta Jankowska. “The community of Ramona has been so supportive of ChuckAlek, we want to give a little back by hosting this event and donating. Hopefully we can make it an annual tradition.”
This is an all-ages, family friendly event, so come dressed in green and bring some “gold” to donate to a worthy cause, said Jankowska.
Local businesses or individuals interested in donating to the charity event or who may have general questions may email Jankowska at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the website at www.chuckalek.com.
