The mural is on the side of the Affordable Treasures building at 677 Main St. Sponsored by members of Ramona Chamber of Commerce, the mural is a reproduction of a painting by the late Ramona artist Louise Shidner. It depicts historic commerce on Ramona’s Main Street.

The chamber invites its members, mural donors and the community to stop by for coffee and to meet the artists, Mark Martensen and Bob Teague, and their associate, David Billick. The artist will autograph color copies of the mural for those in attendance.

Teague, Billick, Mark Martensen and crew finished installing the mural panels at sundown on Saturday.

Members of the H.E.A.R.T. Mural Project Board held their annual strategic planning meeting last week, laying out their plans for the 2014 mural installations: a mural sponsored by San Diego Country Estates Association, a mural on the Ramona Music Center building, a depiction of the historic Kenilworth Inn on the Ramona Food & Clothes Closet building, and a mural sponsored in part by Ramona Tree Trust.

Funding mechanisms also were discussed. These include a golf tournament at San Vicente Resort for the Country Estates mural on March 29, an opportunity drawing at the Bluegrass Festival for the Music Mural, applying for grants, and the 2nd Annual Ramona Art & Wine Festival at the Amy Strong Castle at Mt. Woodson on Saturday, Nov. 1.
