County plans workshop on possible changes to winery ordinance

Update, Monday, Jan. 13—Those interested in attending a county workshop Friday to discuss possible changes to the tiered winery ordinance have until Jan. 15 to RSVP to Planning and Development Services (PDS).

Friday, Jan. 10—Today is the deadline for those interested in discussing possible changes to the tiered winery ordinance next Friday to RSVP to San Diego County Planning and Development Services.

The department has invited stakeholders to a workshop in the County Operations Center in San Diego at 10 a.m. on Jan. 17.

Those receiving workshop invitations include stakeholders with different interests in the winery ordinance.

As part of its Zoning Ordinance Cleanup project, the county is preparing proposed amendments to the tiered winery ordinance to clarify the intent of the ordinance and to resolve discrepancies with existing ordinance language, according to county staff. I

Information gathered at the workshop will be evaluated and used to create final draft documents that will be presented to the county Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors for consideration at public hearings.
