Halloween treat goes to Friends of Ramona Unified Schools for Roof Project

Dressed as Popeye, Greg Chick of Friends of Ramona Unified Schools (FORUS) accepts a check for $200 from Bill and Mary Palmer of Ramona in front of Nuevo Grill during the Merchants’ Main Street Trick or Treat event on Halloween.

Chick and other FORUS volunteers gave candy and accepted donations at two locations on Halloween, raising $338.61 for the FORUS Roof Project for Ramona schools. A total of $1,873.94 has been donated so far  for the project to replace/repair school roofs that leak. Donations may be sent to Dave Patterson, FORUS Roof Project chairman, at 1003 Sixth St., Ramona, CA 92065.

    Mary and Bill Palmer also donated $200 to the FORUS SOAP Project a few months ago. ROOF! ROOF! Roof!

    Per Dave Patterson, FORUS Roof Project Chair, today we received two checks:$500 from Lawrence Stidham, Stidham law offices and $200 from Dr, Graeff with a nice letter to FORUS. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
    Along with other cash donations, our total currently is $2712 plus some change.
    After our next FORUS meeting on 11/17, donations cannisters will be placed throughout
    businesses, stores and offices in Ramona. If your business is willing to help us in this way, please contact Dave Patterson at dpatterson998@yahoo.com.
