Public can preview painted wine barrels at five businesses in town
In conjunction with the first Ramona Art & Wine Festival in the Amy Strong Castle at Mt. Woodson will be an auction of five wine barrels painted by local artists.
Starting bids on the barrels are $275, and even those who can’t attend the event may place a reserve bid, state the highest bid they would pay, submit it with their name, address, phone, and email to festival chair Elaine Lyttleton at Lyttleton@sv-mail.com. If no one bids higher than their price at the auction, they will be contacted and the barrel is theirs.
These mini-mural works of art can be previewed at their business hosts through Oct. 31. “Thanks to our hosts Jewelry World, San Vicente Resort, The Business Barn, Country Wine & Spirits and Affordable Treasures,” said Lyttleton. The art and wine festival will be Saturday Nov. 2, from noon to 6 p.m. For more information about the barrels and the festival, call 760-787-1102.
