SANDAG seeks input on public transportation needs at meeting Monday afternoon

Residents  will have an opportunity to comment on public transportation when San Diego Association of Governments holds an outreach meeting at the Ramona Senior Center on Monday, Oct. 14, from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

The meeting is one of a series of public meetings that the agency is conducting to discuss updates to the region’s coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan. The regional agency encourages the community to provide input on the new plan, share thoughts on social service transportation needs, including those of seniors, low-income and disabled persons, and discuss other issues related to social service transportation in the county.

The senior center is at 434 Aqua Lane. For more information, visit sandag.org/coordinatedplan.

THE SENIORS AND DISABLED SHOULD BE A PRIORITY. HOWEVER. . .WE FORGET ABOUT THOSE THAT HAVE RUN INTO HARD TIMES . . . ARE WITHOUT TRANSPO AND ALTHOUGH ARE CAPABLE OF WALKING 14 MILES TO THE GROCERY STORE FROM THE ESTATES PURCHASE FOOD AND WALK BACK WITH ONLY THE AMOUNT OF FOOD ONE CAN CARRY ON BACK. FOR A FAMILY OF FOUR. ITS HARD TO FIND EMPLOYMENT . . . .IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE. AND FOR CHILDREN OF PARENTS WHOM HAVE FOUND THEMSELVES PENNILESS . . .CAR-LESS AND JOBLESS. . . .THE FUTURE IS BLEAK . . .AND LIFE ON A DAILY BASIS . . .CAN BE DEPRESSING AND DISCOURAGING. . .TO THE PARENTS AS WELL AS THE CHILDREN. STAGNATING FOR SEVERAL YEARS . . .UNTIL THEY LOOSE THEIR HOME AND FIND THEMSELVES WITHOUT A HOME . . .NO MONEY TO EVEN RENT A MOVING TRUCK. PERHAPS SOME SORT OF COMMUNITY RESOURCE THAT WOULD TRULY PROVE BENEFICIAL WOULD BE . . .NON – PROFIT CAR DONATION . . .PROGRAM . . .SOLELY FOR RAMONIANS ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF CENTRAL RAMONA. WHOM CAN TRULY BENEFIT FIND EMPLOYMENT . .TAKING CARE OF CHILDRENS NEEDS . FROM FOOD . . .SOCIAL ACTIVITIES MEDICAL AND DENTAL NEEDS. AND MOVE FORWARD WITH THEIR LIVES RATHER THEN LIVING IN LIMBO. ITS HELL. ON BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS. NEIGHBORS PASSING YOU BY ON THE ROAD . . .LOADED WITH GROCERIES. . .MAYBE THEY THINK YOUR DOING IT FOR EXERCISE . . .MAYBE THEY DONT THINK TWICE. I HOPE THEY NEVER EXPERIENCE THE FEELING
