Firefighters extinguish small brush fire in Witch Creek area

Tuesday, Oct. 8—A 100-foot-by-100-foot vegetation fire in the Witch Creek area near Sutherland Dam Road east of Ramona has been extinguished, Cal Fire/Ramona Battalion Chief Saul Villagomez said.

Calls for air and ground crew responses have been canceled.

A report of the fire came about 10:30 a.m. Firefighters from Cal Fire’s Witch Creek station were first on the scene, said Villagomez.
