Miss Rodeo Ramona is contender for state title

Miss Rodeo Ramona Brittney Phillips will complete in the Miss Rodeo California pageant in Paso Robles Oct. 8-10.

Phillips, 20, is a student at Grossmont College, where she is majoring in public relations with a minor in communications.

She represented Ramona as Junior Miss Rodeo Ramona in 2010, Poway as Miss Rodeo Poway in 2011 and 2012, and Lakeside as Junior Miss Rodeo Lakeside in 2013.

In her free time, she enjoys competing and barrel racing, working horses, learning to rope, and trail riding with friends and family. She looks forward to remaining active in professional rodeo and finding a career that utilizes her academic interest in public relations and communications as well as her love of the western way of life and agricultural industries.
