Hikers find woman’s body on Clevenger Canyon Trail
Update, July 6—Authorities today released the name of the 65-year-old La Jolla woman whose body was found in the San Pasqual area, about five miles east of the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.
The body of Ellen Comisso was discovered in the brush off the San Pasqual Clevenger Trail by a pair of hikers at the San Dieguito River Park about 9:45 a.m. Friday, according to San Diego police and the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
An autopsy has yet to be scheduled, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Update, 7 p.m.—The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the woman who was found dead in the San Pasqual area Friday morning as a 65-year-old La Jolla resident. The office has not released her name pending notification of kin.
Two hikers on the San Pasqual Clevenger Trail found the woman’s body in brush just off the trail, according to the report. An examination is yet to be scheduled, the Medical Examiner’s office stated.
