Motorcylist suffers serious injuries in SR-78 crash

A 22-year-old man crashed his motorcycle while riding on State Route 78 in San Pasqual today and suffered a fractured neck and ankle, a police officer said.

The motorcyclist was riding westbound with a group near the Orasco and Guejito truck trails about 12:30 p.m. when he hit a rock and crashed, San Diego police Officer Frank Cali said.

The rider was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, Cali said.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, Cali said.
