Speeding and careless drivers have indeed been around for as long as they have had something to drive. But that doesn't mean that they are not responsible for their carelessness and ineptitude. So, to recap, if people drove properly, there would be far fewer accidents. And no matter what you do to the road, bad drivers will still have accidents and kill themselves and others. But "stupid is as stupid does" and while folks continue to condemn the road, these things are occurring due to poor driving habits almost unanimously. I agree with Joe, if parents are going to give their kids the car keys, teach them to be safe and responsible drivers.
