The board members caved because of the negative backlash they received. They don’t want to be overthrown from their positions on the association, so they can continue to drive through the neighborhood and be the lords of the manor, giving people fines for working on their cars, leaving their garages open, telling them what color to paint their homes and having weeds in their yard. Get a life.

jvp, remember that NIMBYs prevented the International Airport project to come to reality, otherwise you would have jumbo jets flying over your head all day long today.

NIMBYs prevented the SDG&E Sunrise high power lines to be pulled over town, so that homes value wouldn't crash.

I suspect that for people to push so hard to spend that amount of money on this San Vicente Road project, there is something much bigger and much dirtier coming up. People who live along that road should be concerned and investigate, because they might soon end up living along a six lanes noisy and gas smelly highway, bringing their home value down to nothing.

I maintain that this San Vicente Road project is not the solution. With over 2 million miles on my own odometer on motorcycles, cars, trucks and SUVs, in all sorts of road conditions, I've been there, done that. I know for a fact that "Roads don't kill people; People kill people".
We should put that money in educating the drivers, because if stupid drivers don't kill themselves and others on that new "safer" road, they will eventually on another one, and it might be your kid that they take away from you that day.

There are too many NIMBYS living in the Ramona Estates. For some reason they think they are special. They are against the Motorcross Track, the Race Track, Better Roads and access to Federal Land. They think they live in an exclusive neighborhood. It is Ramona! Think about it.

All right … Let's assume then that it'll make the road safer.
But for the amount of money that will be poured into this project, we should expect outstanding results in terms of safety.

Do we have a similar plan to address also drivers' safety attitude?

It might be helpful to combine both plans for an even safer road.
